The project is a co-operation between two of LDM’s students, Christian Ahlberg and Pearse Lumb and the two architects Lorenzo Perini and Lino Losanno of  Pls design in Florence. The purpose of the working group project is to create an environment were students and professionals are working together in real and realistic way. The meetings are held once a week here at LDM but also in the architectural office. This is a good opportunity for students to be in a real and professional environment.

The main goal of the project is to create a lamp for the Italian company Martinelli. The group has come up with a “pillow lamp”, basically a pillow with a light source inside. The pillow comes in a smaller size for reading and a bigger size for seating. The final design proposal should be presented for Martinelli in May.

A while ago the group went on a visit to the Martinelli office in Lucca.
